Requirements
- 10+ years of related software engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience architecting modern frontend applications at scale using React and/or Angular.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Deep understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508 compliance).
- Experience with frontend build tooling (Webpack, Vite, pnpm, npm).
- Experience with automated frontend testing strategies (Playwright, Cypress, Jest, Vitest).
- Strong understanding of API integration patterns (GraphQL, REST).
- Experience with cloud deployment patterns for frontend applications.
- Experience establishing CI/CD pipelines with automated checks.
- Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain Public Trust 6C.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the strategic direction for frontend engineering practices, tooling, and skillsets.
- Lead the development of accessible, performant, and user-centered web applications for government customers.
- Serve as the technical authority and thought leader for frontend architecture and engineering excellence.
- Design and implement modern frontend architectures, development pipelines, and deployment infrastructure.
- Build and maintain component libraries, design systems, and shared frontend infrastructure.
- Mentor and coach engineers at all levels and establish career development pathways for frontend specialization.
- Collaborate with product managers to balance UI/UX requirements with implementation efforts.
