Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 10+ years of software engineering experience.
Demonstrated success leading large-scale technical initiatives in complex environments.
Expertise in modern web development including React or Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, and CSS.
Strong knowledge of frontend architecture, build tooling, deployment pipelines, and design systems.
Practical experience with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508).
Proficiency in automated testing (e.g., Jest, Vitest, Playwright, Cypress).
Understanding of web performance optimization, Core Web Vitals, and cloud-based deployment.
Knowledge of REST and/or GraphQL API integration and backend service interaction.
Ability to establish CI/CD pipelines with integrated testing and quality controls.
Excellent communication skills for presenting to engineers, executives, and stakeholders.
Proven ability to mentor engineers and influence engineering culture.
U.S. citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust 6C clearance.

Define and drive strategic direction for software engineering practices, architecture, and tooling.
Lead the design and delivery of scalable, accessible, and high-performance web applications.
Design modern application architectures, deployment pipelines, and shared engineering infrastructure.
Partner with product managers and designers to balance user needs with technical constraints.
Mentor and coach engineers to strengthen technical capabilities across teams.
Act as a technical advisor to engineering, product, and executive stakeholders.
