Requirements
- 8-10 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or business intelligence roles.
- Advanced expertise in SQL and Python.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and cloud data architecture.
- Proficiency with modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift.
- Experience with analytics engineering and transformation tools like dbt, SQLMesh, Coalesce, or Dataform.
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Dagster, Airflow, Prefect, or Azure Data Factory.
- Demonstrated expertise in investment management, insurance asset data, and actuarial analytics.
- Proven track record of leading complex data initiatives and influencing technical direction.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data models, curated datasets, and data marts for Finance, Investment Management, and Actuarial teams.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for investment and actuarial data domains including holdings, transactions, and performance data.
- Lead the migration and transformation of investment data from legacy platforms to a modern cloud-based data ecosystem.
- Develop and optimize cloud-native data architectures for efficient storage, integration, and governance.
- Build robust ETL/ELT pipelines integrating structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
- Establish data engineering best practices including modeling standards, documentation, and version control.
- Mentor analytics engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and development coaching.
- Optimize data warehouse performance, schema design, and pipeline orchestration across platforms like Snowflake or Databricks.
