Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and close.
- 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Experience preparing financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Experience with sales and use tax compliance and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- CPA designation preferred (or actively pursuing).
- Availability to support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including occasional extended hours.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Supervise and develop the Senior Staff Accountant and Accounts Receivable Specialist.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and fixed asset accounting.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and tax treatment.
- Support audits, lender reporting, and payroll/sales tax compliance.
- Serve as backup to the Controller and contribute to budgeting and ERP improvement initiatives.
