Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or site reliability engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership role.
- Proven experience leading DevOps or platform teams in a cloud-first environment.
- Strong proficiency in AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, IAM, VPC, S3).
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and production EKS cluster management.
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Experience managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Extensive experience with observability tooling for monitoring, logging, and incident management.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking (VPCs, subnets, routing, load balancers, VPN/Direct Connect).
- Hands-on software development background with experience writing and shipping production code.
- Familiarity with web application architectures including databases, message queues, and serverless.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of DevOps engineers while fostering a collaborative culture.
- Define and evolve DevOps and platform engineering strategy across multiple product lines.
- Own and optimize cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
- Standardize CI/CD practices to improve developer productivity and delivery predictability.
- Manage the observability strategy using tools like New Relic to ensure robust alerting and SLO management.
- Partner with Security to implement infrastructure compliance controls.
- Collaborate with Finance and Engineering leadership to drive cloud cost visibility and optimization.
