Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in a relevant field (Healthcare Administration, Business, Nursing, Genetics, Pharmacy, etc.).
- 15+ years of access and/or sales experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries.
- Experience in rare disease and drug launch execution.
- 5+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare reimbursement processes and regulatory requirements.
- Strong understanding of the payer environment, including government (Medicaid) and commercial payers.
- Experience working with specialty pharmacy networks and patient services hubs.
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, and AI.
- Demonstrated knowledge of compliance with HIPAA regulations, OIG guidance, and the Anti-Kickback Statute.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel 50-60%, including occasional weekends.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an innovative family access strategy to support patient access to rare disease products.
- Manage, coach, and provide leadership to a team of Family Access Managers (FAM) to ensure operational effectiveness.
- Oversee the development of FAM tools and collaborate with pharmacies, health systems, and providers to secure patient access.
- Ensure all patient access and reimbursement activities strictly adhere to healthcare regulations, corporate compliance, and industry standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal advocacy teams, the Hub, and external stakeholders to facilitate access.
- Utilize data analysis and reporting tools to evaluate process efficiency and implement necessary operational improvements.
- Monitor changes in healthcare policy and market dynamics to adapt access strategies effectively.
- Manage the team budget and ensure cost-effective resource allocation.
