Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or similar qualification.
- At least 5 years experience as an accountant.
- Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with NetSuite.
- Prior work experience at a SaaS or software company.
- Experience with billing or revenue recognition tools (e.g., Stripe, Chargebee).
- Comprehensive experience with all-round accounting (AR, AP, Payroll, GL, tax, audit).
- Good knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS.
- Experience in supporting annual audits.
- Independent, structured, solution-oriented and analytical way of working.
- Great time management skills and ability to meet financial deadlines.
- Professional fluency in German and English.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of accounting for entities’ billing, general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, tax and various special analyses.
- Maintain general ledger reconciliations with adequate documentation for all balance sheet accounts.
- Manage financial reporting, analysis, and commentary for portfolio entities and support consolidation and monthly group reporting.
- Execute annual financial statements and audits, preparing and filing of VAT, sales tax and GST returns.
- Support the leadership team in tax matters, international billing, and monitor intercompany transactions.
- Coordinate with external accountants, tax advisors, auditors, and other service providers.
- Supervise and optimize the company’s accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives.
