Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in insurance pricing, with at least 4+ years in reinsurance.
- ACAS or FCAS certification.
- Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science or a related field.
- Strong understanding of actuarial pricing and reinsurance treaty structures.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines.
- Ability to structure and solve ambiguous problems using data.
- Strategic and operational long-term thinking skills.
- Ability to influence partners and build strong collaborative relationships.
- Ability to develop, assess, and monitor business metrics to optimize pricing proposals.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end pricing of complex reinsurance treaties, including assumption development, cash flow projection, and risk/return optimization.
- Develop, oversee, and enhance actuarial models, setting methodology standards and driving continuous improvement.
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear recommendations for internal and external audiences.
- Act as an SME to support the creation and maintenance of appropriate pricing risk governance controls.
- Collaborate with reinsurance, data science, engineering, and security experts to shape data-driven solutions.
- Act as an ambassador for the actuarial team to foster a solutions-driven approach and meet stakeholder needs.
