Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or Math.
  • 6-8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, deal desk, pricing, credit product finance, or related GTM finance function.
  • Meaningful exposure to credit card or lending economics.
  • Fluent in modeling and comfortable with credit risk modeling and capital markets concepts.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex deal structures to executive stakeholders.
  • Proactive mindset focused on continuous process improvement.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace.
  • AI-curious with practical experience using AI tools for professional work.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the financial partner to Sales on live credit deals by modeling the full economic stack including interchange, finance charges, rewards costs, cost of funds, and expected losses.
  • Build deal-level models that capture the full life-of-portfolio economics, including portfolio maturity, revolve rates, and loss curves.
  • Partner with Credit Risk and Capital Markets teams to ensure deal models reflect realistic loss assumptions and funding costs.
  • Develop foundational models for credit products, including monthly projections of volumes, receivables, and loss curves, supported by scenario analyses.
  • Model multi-party revenue share structures across program managers, banks, processors, and networks.
  • Lead deal review meetings with sales leadership to translate complex economics into actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain credit-specific deal desk toolkits, including pricing benchmarks and dashboards.
  • Stay current on credit product evolution, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics.
  • Collaborate with the broader deal desk team and experiment with AI tools to automate and accelerate modeling processes.
