Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or a senior hands-on finance role.
- Strong practical Xero experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in WorkflowMax.
- Experience preparing construction payment claims and progress claims.
- Solid understanding of job-based and project-based billing.
- Proven experience in AP, AR, payroll, bank reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Strong financial and management reporting capability.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the finance function.
- Proactive, structured approach to problem-solving and system improvements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end finance function, including month-end reconciliations, close processes, and management reporting.
- Prepare and submit progress claims and payment claims for construction projects.
- Oversee job-based billing and monitor payments for tiling and specialist subcontracting projects.
- Execute all financial processes within Xero and WorkflowMax, ensuring data alignment between systems.
- Handle full-cycle AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing.
- Review and improve finance processes, implementing workflows and controls to reduce manual administration.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning to drive commercial decision-making.
