Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA qualification is preferred.
- 5–10 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience at a Big Four or national public accounting firm.
- Public-company experience is strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience applying standards to complex transactions.
- Strong experience with SEC reporting, financial statement preparation, and disclosure requirements.
- Hands-on experience with financial reporting tools such as Workiva or Active Disclosure.
- Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus.
- Experience with complex transactions including M&A, financing, capital projects, and multi-entity structures.
- Exceptional technical accounting and writing skills for developing position papers.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for special purpose vehicles (SPVs) under U.S. GAAP.
- Support the consolidation of SPV results and collaborate with internal stakeholders on entity-related transactions.
- Maintain and enhance accounting policies, controls, reconciliations, and audit readiness documentation.
- Coordinate annual SPV audits, prepare audit support, and manage PBC requests.
- Prepare and review technical accounting memos and position papers for complex accounting matters.
- Support SEC reporting processes including 20-F and 6-K filings, footnotes, and disclosures.
- Utilize financial reporting platforms like Workiva or Active Disclosure to manage filings.
- Partner with Legal, FP&A, Tax, and Operations to assess accounting implications of business transactions.
- Support SOX compliance and internal controls over financial reporting.
- Improve reporting processes and support capital markets, M&A, and international expansion initiatives.
