Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience in UX research, interface design, digital analytics architecture, or a closely related discipline.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Strong expertise with modern UI wireframing and prototyping tools, particularly Figma or comparable platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to combine rigorous user research with hands-on interface and visual design capabilities.
- Experience communicating research findings and design concepts to technical teams, product stakeholders, and leadership.
- Working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 for effective collaboration and developer handoffs.
- Experience using AI-powered productivity and research tools for dataset synthesis and rapid prototyping.
- Familiarity with accessibility and privacy requirements relevant to K-12 digital products, including WCAG and FERPA.
- Strong understanding of K-12 assessment, standards-based grading, and education technology is preferred.
- Firsthand experience as a K-12 teacher or instructional coach is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end qualitative and quantitative UX research including focus groups, interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
- Conduct market and competitive research to identify industry trends and benchmark EdTech solutions.
- Develop feedback and research loops to capture user needs and measure long-term product adoption.
- Translate research findings, user pain points, and behavioral data into high-fidelity web designs, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Collaborate with front-end designers and engineers to provide practical design specifications.
- Refine interface hierarchies, layouts, and interaction patterns through rapid, research-informed iterations.
- Design accessible data visualizations and dashboards tailored for K-12 grading and assessment workflows.
- Present research findings, personas, journey maps, and design artifacts to technical teams and leadership.
