Requirements
- Completed Post-secondary education in Applied Geography, Geographic Information Systems or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience with GIS, AutoCAD, or network documentation systems.
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience with spatial data, data entry, and conversion.
- 2+ years of demonstrated project management skills.
- Proficiency with IQGeo or similar web-based plant data tools.
- Strong SQL skills, specifically with PostGIS.
- Attention to detail for data accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter in an asynchronous environment.
- Industry and GIS/CAD specific certifications are preferred.
- Programming experience with Go and Python is an asset.
- Familiarity with ArcGIS Pro is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Manage the GIS ticket queue to support internal users.
- Solve address availability and data issues by verifying against plant drawings, maps, and aerial photography.
- Add newly constructed addresses and buildings to the system.
- Audit partner address releases by comparing invoices against provided service data.
- Ingest and convert as-built records from various CAD formats into structured data for IQGeo.
- Maintain GIS data sets in response to network changes and plant placements.
- Support biennial FCC reporting through data preparation and ingestion.
- Generate reports for internal stakeholders using database queries.
