Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in UX design, product design, or a related field.
- Strong track record of designing and shipping user-centered products.
- Experience directly managing designers through performance and promotion cycles.
- Proven experience as a player-coach balancing IC work and people management.
- Strong craft judgment and the ability to conduct design critiques.
- Proficiency in Figma and related design tools for wireframing and prototyping.
- Experience working with and contributing to design systems.
- Understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods to inform design decisions.
- Comfort presenting design positions to executive leadership backed by evidence.
- Fluency with AI-assisted design tooling and workflow integration.
Responsibilities
- Run weekly design critiques and manage review processes to ensure rigorous feedback.
- Establish 1:1s and growth plans for a team of 5-6 designers, advocating for their promotion and performance.
- Manage design capacity modeling across seven product areas.
- Represent the design point of view in product discussions to balance speed and craft.
- Arbitrate design-system exceptions and maintain design standards.
- Ship hands-on design work on at least one high-impact consumer product area.
- Participate in in-person company events, trainings, and team-building exercises.
