Requirements

  • 7+ years building and operating production web applications, with the front end as your strongest area.
  • Deep expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Expertise in at least one modern component framework (React, Vue, Svelte, or similar).
  • Deep understanding of state management and performance optimization for consumer-facing applications.
  • Comfortable working across the full stack, including APIs, data models, integrations, CI, and infrastructure.
  • Proven experience leading projects from concept to completion, defining scope and strategy.
  • Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs clearly without relying on jargon.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for sustainability values.
  • Proficiency in Shopify, Liquid, GraphQL, and testing frameworks (Vitest, Jest, Cypress, Playwright) is highly desired.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with e-commerce, subscription billing models, and experimentation/A/B testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead front end and full stack initiatives from ambiguous problem statement to shipped, measured outcome.
  • Work shoulder to shoulder with product managers and designers on experience and technical strategy.
  • Own performance, stability, accessibility, and maintainability in the code shipped.
  • Partner across the third-party ecosystem, including mobile apps, subscription services, analytics, and search, to build cohesive product experiences.
  • Utilize AI tooling aggressively as a force multiplier while maintaining code quality standards.
  • Partner with UX Design to define and scale the design system and UI component library.
  • Coordinate with analytics partners to implement tracking for measuring outcomes.
