Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, or equivalent experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in pricing, revenue management, or analytics.
- Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, modeling).
- Experience with SQL or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is an asset.
- Familiarity with TMS platforms such as McLeod, Trimble, or MercuryGate.
- Experience with freight market data sources like DAT or SONAR.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear pricing recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to support cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Carrier Sourcing, and Finance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain contract rate structures including base rates, fuel surcharges, and accessorials.
- Analyze historical freight data and market trends to recommend competitive and profitable pricing.
- Partner with Sales and Carrier Sourcing teams to build pricing proposals for RFPs and bid responses.
- Model margin impact of contract terms and flag deals that fall outside target profitability thresholds.
- Monitor contract compliance to ensure invoiced rates match agreed terms and resolve discrepancies.
- Track account-level profitability and recommend renegotiations when margins erode.
- Maintain pricing databases, TMS platforms, and Excel models with current rate data.
- Perform market benchmarking using tools like DAT and Freightwaves SONAR.
