Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in procurement, category management, strategic sourcing, or a related function.
  • Strong category management experience with direct raw materials in food, pharmaceutical, chemical, nutraceutical, or consumer health sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives and deliver measurable commercial results.
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders across manufacturing, commercial, finance, technology, and R&D.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, including data analysis, cost modeling, and financial assessment.
  • Familiarity with AI-based procurement platforms, digital tools, and technology-enabled process improvement.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, including relationship building and cross-functional team management.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; an MBA is desirable.
  • Broad supply chain knowledge, including planning and logistics, is preferred.
  • Foundational finance knowledge, including P&L analysis and budgeting, is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute long-term category sourcing strategies to optimize supplier selection, pricing, and continuity.
  • Manage a procurement portfolio of approximately $180 million, identifying opportunities for value creation and cost optimization.
  • Build a continuous-improvement pipeline to deliver year-over-year productivity and savings in collaboration with Finance.
  • Lead supplier performance management, including regular business reviews and improvement plans.
  • Develop sustainable sourcing initiatives, including greenhouse-gas reduction and improved traceability.
  • Partner with R&D, manufacturing, and commercial teams to support new product and technology launches.
  • Support tail-spend and procurement transformation initiatives using digital, automated, and AI-enabled platforms.
  • Manage budgets and monthly price forecasting through cost modeling and market intelligence.
