Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Public Policy, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in environmental management, sustainability, or EHS, with significant leadership experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards.
  • Demonstrated success developing and managing environmental and sustainability programs at an organizational level.
  • Strong project management, analytical, risk assessment, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and mentoring professionals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and sustainability reporting frameworks.
  • Strong financial management and budgeting capabilities for environmental initiatives.
  • Ability to influence organizational change in dynamic, matrixed environments.
  • Commitment to environmental responsibility, integrity, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive environmental strategies, programs, and initiatives.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations.
  • Lead the environmental function by providing strategic direction, mentorship, and support to team members.
  • Conduct environmental assessments, audits, risk analyses, and sustainability evaluations.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainable practices into operations and facilities.
  • Monitor and report environmental performance metrics to executive leadership.
  • Represent the organization in interactions with government agencies and external stakeholders.
  • Lead environmental due diligence for projects, acquisitions, and facility developments.
