- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers, loan officers, processors, title companies, and real estate professionals.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify missing or incomplete documentation.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with a distributed team.
- Professional, customer-focused approach with strong follow-through and reliability.
- Ability to handle confidential customer and financial information appropriately.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities and deadlines may change.
Responsibilities
- Provide clerical, administrative, and operational support to assigned mortgage loan originators.
- Manage and maintain appointment calendars, schedule meetings, and provide timely reminders regarding upcoming commitments.
- Receive, place, and screen telephone calls while resolving routine matters and helping protect the loan officer’s time.
- Interact professionally with mortgage customers and visitors, including conducting initial interviews when appropriate.
- Assist mortgage loan originators in gathering the information and documentation required for loan files.
- Review loan files for completeness and ensure required documentation is in place before files are forwarded to the processing team.
- Coordinate with loan processors, title companies, real estate agents, and other stakeholders to ensure mortgage-related deadlines are met.
- Schedule loan closings and communicate relevant details and timelines to the loan officer, processor, title company, and real estate agent.
- Monitor workflow and follow up on outstanding items to help ensure timely completion of the loan process.
- Maintain organized records and provide responsive support throughout the mortgage origination process.
