Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Two years of experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or physician’s office.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience in customer service, reception, and data entry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication.
  • Solid time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • AAMA certification preferred.
  • Ability to travel as needed for annual influenza clinics.

Responsibilities

  • Support occupational health programs including workers’ compensation, infection control, immunizations, and respiratory fit testing.
  • Submit orders for employee testing such as drug and alcohol screens, laboratory blood tests, and radiological exams.
  • Coordinate the annual influenza program and travel to attend influenza clinics.
  • Conduct respiratory fit test and PAPR training for clinics.
  • Develop educational materials related to employee health programs.
  • Perform data entry and generate reports to maintain employee medical records.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, CDC, DOH, and other regulatory agency requirements.
