Requirements

  • 15+ years of bio/pharmaceutical experience with a deep understanding of current US pharmaceutical payer models.
  • 10+ years of direct US Payer and/or Provider Account management experience.
  • 5+ years of people management experience.
  • Successful track record in a US pharmaceutical/biotech product launch.
  • In-depth knowledge of Medicare Part A-D, Medicaid, VA/DoD, and commercial payer policies.
  • Expertise in pharmaceutical compliance, HIPAA regulations, and reimbursement processes.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and financial acumen to manage complex customer engagements.
  • Proficiency in business planning, payer strategy, and translating data into actionable reports.
  • Bachelor's degree required; degree in health sciences or business/marketing preferred; MBA or PharmD is a plus.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with experience working in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of national account directors to achieve market access objectives.
  • Develop and execute national and regional market access strategies and payer engagement plans.
  • Collaborate with commercial leadership to inform pricing, contracting, and access strategies.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of Payer/GPO/Organized customer account professionals.
  • Leverage executive-level relationships at strategic payer and provider accounts to communicate product value.
  • Drive contracted customer pull-through and ensure contract compliance.
  • Collaborate with field teams and internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate access barriers.
  • Manage budget and vendors to ensure fiscally responsible project execution.
