Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent in Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Microbiology, or related field.
- Proven experience with bioinformatics pipelines.
- Proficiency with scripting languages: Bash, Python, or R.
- Experience utilizing AI tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred: Experience with microbiome or metagenomics datasets.
- Preferred: Experience with shotgun metagenomic workflows.
- Preferred: Experience with SQL or databases.
- Preferred: Experience with AWS or cloud platforms.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the bioinformatics pipeline.
- Track samples from data delivery through final result release.
- Monitor cloud-based pipelines for failures and perform batch-level quality control.
- Provide computational support to science and research teams by generating datasets.
- Work with customer support to resolve user-related issues.
- Collaborate with scientists and partners to advance research objectives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records.
