Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business analytics, or analytics engineering.
- Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses, ideally Amazon Redshift.
- Experience with BI and visualization platforms such as ThoughtSpot, Looker, Tableau, Mode, Hex, or Power BI.
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) to automate analysis or build analytical agents.
- Experience developing data models or semantic layers for consistent metric definitions.
- Proven ability to connect, reconcile, and analyze data across disparate systems (CRM, billing, ERP, product).
- Strong understanding of data quality, reporting automation, and business intelligence processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills to collaborate with Engineering, Finance, Sales, and Operations.
- Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Claude Code and sufficient Python knowledge to debug generated code.
- Preferred: Experience querying NoSQL or document databases (e.g., MongoDB).
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain unified reporting that connects CRM, accounting, invoicing, and operational databases into a consistent source of truth.
- Replace manual reporting with scalable data pipelines and refresh processes.
- Establish and document shared definitions for key metrics such as MRR, activation, churn, and retention.
- Partner with Data Engineering on data architecture, pipeline reliability, and reporting quality using Redshift and MongoDB Atlas.
- Develop cohort, retention, and revenue analyses to explain underlying drivers of business performance.
- Build AI-enabled reporting solutions, including natural-language query agents to translate business questions into SQL queries.
- Develop automated anomaly detection and alerting for critical metrics.
- Act as a strategic thought partner to functional leaders to provide actionable recommendations.
