Requirements

  • Clinical licensure or credentialing (RN, MD/DO, PharmD) or graduate degree in Clinical/Health Informatics with substantial quality experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in clinical informatics, clinical quality, CDI, or population health analytics.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing data pipelines and machine learning models in Databricks.
  • Strong proficiency in Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, SQL, and Python.
  • Demonstrated experience applying AI/ML, NLP, and LLM techniques to clinical or claims data.
  • Deep knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding and risk-adjustment methodologies (APR-DRG, MS-DRG, HCC/RAF).
  • Understanding of healthcare data environments and clinical quality measurement.
  • Excellent communication skills for translating technical findings for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate independently as a senior individual contributor with director-level scope.
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Clinical Informatics, Health Data Science, Public Health, Nursing, or Medicine is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of hospital ranking and benchmarking methodologies including CMS Star Ratings, Leapfrog, and U.S. News & World Report.
  • Design, build, validate, and productionize AI/ML and rules-based algorithms to identify clinical documentation and coding gaps.
  • Develop and deploy predictive and generative AI solutions within a Databricks environment.
  • Serve as a clinical and quality subject-matter expert connecting clinical operations, coding, analytics, and executive leadership.
  • Advise senior leadership on quality strategy, investment priorities, and methodology changes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate algorithmic findings into practical clinical workflow improvements.
  • Establish multi-year strategic roadmaps for hospital ranking and rating performance.
  • Present analytical findings and strategic recommendations to C-suite stakeholders.
