Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience.
- 8 years of relevant professional experience with significant hands-on software engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience working in multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Demonstrated experience with front-end and back-end software development.
- Strong experience with AWS cloud services; AWS GovCloud is highly relevant.
- Experience designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience integrating data sources and developing data pipelines.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and secure data access patterns.
- Understanding of network architecture, administration, and security principles.
- Proficiency in technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, React/Next.js, Node.js, GraphQL, and SQL.
- Active U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
- Valid U.S. passport.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with geographically distributed cross-functional teams and stakeholders to formulate, prototype, implement, and refine software solutions.
- Design, develop, review, refactor, and maintain clean, reliable code across front-end and back-end components.
- Develop intuitive, user-focused web applications using appropriate programming languages, frameworks, and third-party libraries.
- Interface with AWS cloud services and apply cloud engineering practices to deploy, maintain, and scale solutions in secure environments.
- Identify and integrate data from APIs, file systems, databases, and other sources while developing automated data ingestion pipelines.
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot mature CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and automated quality/security controls.
- Support secure deployments in AWS GovCloud environments.
- Apply foundational data science and AI/ML concepts, such as RAG and NLP.
- Troubleshoot software and infrastructure issues, resolve defects, and continuously improve performance.
- Create and maintain technical documentation covering processes, architecture, and best practices.
