Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data center, mission-critical, or comparable high-availability operations.
- Proven experience leading data center operations teams, site managers, and multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Strong understanding of critical environment infrastructure, including power, cooling, environmental systems, and related facility operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing third-party vendors, utilities, service providers, and other external stakeholders.
- Track record of operating successfully in large-scale, high-availability environments where reliability and uptime are critical.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with experience building, scaling, and developing high-performing operational organizations.
- Ability to operate with a high degree of ownership, accountability, autonomy, and sound operational judgment.
- Experience in hyperscale environments and/or managing multi-site or regional operations.
- Familiarity with server hardware, rack infrastructure, Linux systems, and basic networking concepts such as DHCP and DNS.
- Knowledge of monitoring systems, operational metrics, and performance analysis.
- Experience supporting data center expansions, new site builds, or infrastructure deployment programs.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end data center operations across the region, covering critical facilities, IT infrastructure, reliability, performance, and service-level delivery.
- Lead the transition from a single-site operation to a multi-site regional footprint, supporting expansion into additional U.S. locations.
- Hire, manage, mentor, and develop data center managers and operational teams, building a strong culture of accountability and operational excellence.
- Serve as the primary operational interface with external partners, including vendors, utilities, service providers, and other stakeholders.
- Drive incident response, root-cause analysis, continuous improvement, and process standardization to strengthen reliability and operational performance.
- Establish and maintain operational excellence frameworks, monitoring practices, reporting mechanisms, and performance visibility across sites.
- Ensure data center operations meet applicable safety, compliance, regulatory, and operational requirements.
- Partner with engineering, network, hardware, and other internal teams to support capacity delivery, infrastructure readiness, and site expansion.
- Manage critical environment infrastructure, including power, cooling, and environmental systems, to maintain highly available operations.
