Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or another related technical discipline.
- 0–3 years of relevant professional experience, including internships, academic projects, research, military service, or personal technical projects.
- Foundational understanding of software, data, cloud, systems, or application architecture concepts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new technologies, tools, technical domains, and concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with careful attention to detail.
- Ability to organize complex technical information and produce clear, accurate documentation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams, receive feedback, and contribute constructively.
- Self-motivated approach to investigating unfamiliar problems, seeking guidance when appropriate, and following assignments through to completion.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to operate effectively in customer-facing environments.
- Familiarity with Python, SQL, Java, or another programming language is a plus.
- Exposure to AWS, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud, or other cloud platforms is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of data and technology solutions across cloud, on-premises, and government-hosted environments.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to understand mission requirements and translate them into clear technical requirements and solution designs.
- Document existing systems, data flows, integrations, constraints, dependencies, and opportunities for modernization.
- Create and maintain architecture diagrams, interface documentation, technical decision records, and other solution materials.
- Research technologies, architecture approaches, and technical solutions, summarizing their benefits, risks, limitations, and tradeoffs.
- Learn and apply established reference architectures, integration patterns, technical standards, and engineering practices.
- Participate in technical discovery sessions, architecture discussions, demonstrations, and customer meetings.
- Work closely with data engineers and technical leads to address technical questions and ensure implementation remains aligned with solution designs.
- Communicate technical concepts, recommendations, questions, and project progress clearly to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Build trusted relationships with customers and internal teams by demonstrating curiosity, reliability, professionalism, and a strong commitment to mission outcomes.
