Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience in SEO and content strategy.
- Experience owning both strategy and execution at a consumer app, fintech, or growth-stage startup.
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to produce high-quality personal finance content.
- Working knowledge of AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization).
- Experience with YouTube SEO or video content optimization.
- Proficiency with modern SEO tools: Ahrefs or SEMrush, Google Search Console, and GA4.
- Familiarity with schema and structured data implementation.
- Proven ability to run backlink and digital PR campaigns.
- Self-directed organizational skills for managing daily publishing and technical roadmaps.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Responsibilities
- Own SEO strategy across step.com including on-page optimization, site architecture, and technical audits.
- Manage the Money 101 blog end-to-end including editorial strategy, content calendar, and daily publishing.
- Optimize content for AI search engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini using structured data and schema.
- Execute backlink acquisition and digital PR campaigns to build domain authority.
- Optimize YouTube channels for search through metadata, titles, and video content strategy.
- Establish and enforce E-E-A-T signals while partnering with legal/compliance teams.
- Report on organic performance metrics including rankings, traffic, and AI citation share.
