Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering at a fast-growing SaaS company.
- Deep proficiency in modern PHP and Laravel, including Eloquent and relational data modeling in MySQL.
- Experience with queue-driven background work on Redis and Horizon.
- Experience in containerized environments like Docker and FrankenPHP.
- Fluency with software design patterns and object-oriented design principles.
- Track record of integrating and debugging third-party APIs and webhooks (payments, email deliverability, SSO).
- Working command of security best practices, including client-side security and handling of payment/patient data.
- Knowledge of WCAG accessibility requirements.
- Experience with automated testing using PHPUnit or Pest.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Experience building software with a distributed, remote team.
Responsibilities
- Build full-stack features end-to-end in Laravel/PHP, including Eloquent models, MySQL schemas, and Redis-backed Horizon queues.
- Develop responsive, accessible interfaces.
- Manage integrations for Stripe, SendGrid, and SAML2 SSO.
- Partner with Product and QA to turn requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Estimate work while holding the line on security, testing, accessibility, and maintainability.
- Apply agentic AI tools like Cursor and Claude Code to ship higher-quality software faster.
