Requirements
- 4+ years of Electrical Engineering design experience in the construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Electrical P.E. license or Engineering in Training certification preferred.
- Experience designing power systems for data centers, commercial offices, manufacturing facilities, or medical buildings.
- Experience working independently, managing priorities, and providing mentorship to junior staff.
- Strong understanding of National and International Building Codes and NFPA Standards.
- Advanced knowledge of equipment power requirements, including large scale standby and emergency power systems and interactive generator controls.
- Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM, and Revit.
- Experience producing Protective Device Coordination and Arc Flash studies preferred.
- Experience with Medium Voltage equipment selection and specifications preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems and perform design calculations.
- Review, sign, and seal projects.
- Review submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
- Prepare record drawings, conduct site visits and inspections, and participate in commissioning work.
- Write and edit electrical equipment specifications.
- Select equipment, electrical systems, and devices.
- Ensure jobs are completed accurately, within deadlines, and on budget.
