Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
- Strong ability to perform accurate quantity takeoffs from commercial construction plans.
- Experience preparing commercial bid proposals with clear exclusions, clarifications, allowances, and qualifications.
- Strong understanding of commercial blueprints, specifications, CSI divisions, and contract documents.
- Hands-on experience with PlanHub for ITB management.
- Proficiency with digital takeoff tools such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or STACK.
- Experience with Google Workspace and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Experience with Contractor Foreman is strongly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
- Must have a dedicated home office, reliable computer equipment, and high-speed internet.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed material and labor quantity takeoffs from commercial drawings, specifications, and PDF plan sets.
- Prepare professional bid proposals, scope sheets, and project qualifications, including inclusions, exclusions, and allowances.
- Manage Invitations to Bid (ITBs) through PlanHub and coordinate with subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
- Conduct bid leveling by comparing subcontractor scopes, pricing, and qualifications to identify discrepancies.
- Draft and track Requests for Information (RFIs) to resolve ambiguities or missing information in project documents.
- Maintain the company bid calendar and keep subcontractor databases and contact records updated.
