Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, including direct billing and payer implementations.
- Advanced understanding of commercial and government payer policies, reimbursement methodologies, and contract requirements.
- Technical proficiency in CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding.
- Experience overseeing and managing Data and Charge Entry contractors.
- Proven ability to manage complex accounts, handle escalations, and resolve exceptions.
- Strong technical proficiency with Athena, Zuora, Salesforce, and JIRA or similar RCM systems.
- Experience leading small projects or process improvement initiatives with a focus on data analysis and reporting.
- Proactive use of AI tools to improve individual output and efficiency.
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the configuration and setup of new client billing accounts to ensure operational readiness.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Credentialing, and Finance for onboarding and payment setup.
- Maintain the Price Book and lead billing testing to validate configurations.
- Oversee and manage Data and Charge Entry contractors, supporting team direction and deliverable quality.
- Drive enhancements across platforms like Athena, Zuora, and Salesforce to improve billing logic and accuracy.
- Mentor junior team members and contractors by reviewing work and sharing institutional knowledge.
- Develop documentation and recommend automation to improve front-end revenue cycle workflows.
