Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management.
- 3+ years of experience leading a team or function.
- Deep professional (physician/practitioner) billing experience.
- Hands-on experience with a modern billing or claims platform such as Candid Health, Waystar, or Availity.
- Experience managing revenue cycle aspects of an EHR implementation or migration.
- Proficiency with CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, modifiers, and payer-specific billing requirements.
- Track record of reducing denials and managing AR days.
- Experience reconciling and structuring complex or messy billing data.
- Direct experience handling commercial payer escalations and underpayment issues.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License and REAL ID.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle including eligibility, charge capture, coding, claim submission, denials, and AR follow-up.
- Own configuration for billing systems including payer rules, fee schedules, and claim edits.
- Lead revenue cycle activities during the Healthie EHR implementation and resolve legacy system claims.
- Develop and maintain reliable reporting for cash forecasting, AR aging, and denial trends.
- Partner with credentialing teams to manage payer relationships, underpayments, and escalations.
- Lead, develop, and mentor a small RCM team to scale operational capacity.
