Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience building and owning token-based design systems.
- Demonstrated ability to build end-to-end token-based design systems, including color ramps, type scales, and component variants.
- Portfolio featuring at least 3 examples of end-to-end design work.
- Experience reasoning about design systems expressed in code (HTML/CSS/tokens) and identifying interface breaks.
- Professional experience building, maintaining, or applying design systems in an in-house, agency, or design-engineering role.
- Proficiency with React or Figma variables for implementation.
- High attention to detail in visual adherence, such as corner radius, casing rules, and spacing values.
- Ability to write structured, specific creative direction grounded in design-systems principles.
Responsibilities
- Prompt AI models to generate and refine design work across multiple conversation turns.
- Evolve the underlying design system by refining color ramps, type scales, spacing and radius tokens, and component treatments.
- Evaluate AI outputs for design-system coherence, visual quality, and adherence to design specifications.
- Compare outputs to select the superior version and write clear rationale and reproduction prompts.
- Vote and rank preferences to train AI models on cohesive, high-quality design standards.
