Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in project management, fiber network engineering, or telecom infrastructure deployment.
- Proven ability to develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and scopes of work.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent vendor management skills, including running RFPs and negotiating contract terms.
- Demonstrated experience with OSP fiber project management, permitting, and construction oversight.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and mapping tools (e.g., Google Earth or GIS platforms).
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field preferred.
- Familiarity with environmental permitting processes and regulations.
- Working knowledge of fiber optic equipment, network architecture, and splicing documentation.
- Experience supporting state 811 programs, NOC coordination, and network maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Identify OSP engineering/construction firms and manage bid/vendor selection and contract negotiation.
- Manage tactical project management including schedules, budgets, and project coordination.
- Provide build cost estimates for the sales team.
- Perform service delivery functions including customer updates, site access coordination, and close-out package preparation.
- Conduct site walks with customers and vendors.
- Secure permits from local, state, and federal agencies.
- Coordinate environmental requirements and manage environmental engineering vendors.
- Document splicing requirements and maintain fiber engineering documentation.
- Specify and procure optics components.
- Maintain network maps in the proprietary geospatial project management platform.
