Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in project engineering and construction of electric generation projects.
- At least 5 years of experience in project development or project management in the energy or infrastructure sector.
- Experience managing complex engineering and construction projects, such as wind or thermal facilities.
- Working knowledge of construction law, contracts, claims avoidance, insurance, and contract administration.
- Strong negotiation, dispute-resolution, budgeting, forecasting, and risk-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Primavera P3, and Thermo-Flow GT Pro/GT Master.
- Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Manage engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and implementation activities for new energy projects.
- Develop and manage design, procurement, and construction contracts, including costs, schedules, and scopes.
- Direct project engineers and site managers to meet safety, schedule, and budget milestones.
- Lead the negotiation, administration, and oversight of EPC activities.
- Provide owner's project management for multiple wind and thermal energy projects.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and provide regular progress updates to senior leadership.
- Promote a safety culture across project design, construction, and operational activities.
- Forecast and monitor capital spending and support technical due diligence.
