Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in safety and training, preferably in the transportation industry.
- Proven experience hiring drivers across different US states.
- Strong understanding of the trucking industry.
- Expertise in HOS (Hours of Service) and DOT regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of CDL driver documentation and licensing requirements.
- Truck driving experience is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment process for drivers and maintain a pool of prospective candidates.
- Source, screen, and interview driver candidates using various recruiting channels.
- Ensure all necessary employment documentation and paperwork is completed accurately.
- Conduct driver road tests and provide required training and orientation.
- Manage driver hours to minimize overtime while meeting service metrics.
- Conduct facility safety inspections and develop accident prevention programs.
- Investigate vehicle accidents and employee injuries, preparing necessary reports.
- Ensure compliance with company, client, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
