Requirements
- Deep expertise in SQL Server, including performance optimization, schema design, and data modeling.
- Strong knowledge of relational database design principles and normalization.
- Ability to write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions.
- Strong knowledge of DAX and Power Query (M language).
- Experience with Azure SQL Managed Instance configuration, security, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with ETL processes and data integration.
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and information security principles.
- Experience designing and supporting analytics using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
- Strong experience delivering business applications and data-driven integrations.
- Comfort working in Agile environments with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support robust data and application solutions that deliver measurable business value.
- Lead the engineering, optimization, and continuous improvement of the database estate.
- Partner with Product Owners, Engineers, and business stakeholders to modernize legacy solutions.
- Design and deliver meaningful reporting, analytics, and data products.
- Build and support business-critical applications integrating data and automation.
- Act as a technical authority, establishing best practice and mentoring colleagues across the Technology & Cyber function.
