Requirements
- Extensive experience in analytics engineering or related data roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced SQL, dbt, and Snowflake.
- Proficient in using BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, Snowsight).
- Skilled in performing data ingestion and activation using no-code tools (e.g. Fivetran, Stitch).
- Knowledgeable in managing metadata, documentation, and data quality checks.
- Experience with sensitive data masking effectively.
- Effective at collaborating closely with diverse stakeholders.
- Experienced in conducting training sessions and providing informal mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain complex, scalable data models in Snowflake using dbt.
- Expose datasets effectively in BI tooling to enable robust self-service analytics.
- Perform simple data ingestion tasks using no-code tools and ensure streamlined data flows.
- Add comprehensive metadata to datasets, including documentation, data quality checks, and sensitive data masking.
- Activate data by pushing it from Snowflake into other operational tools.
- Proactively identify and raise data quality issues to the respective process owners for resolution.
- Lead training sessions and initiatives to drive adoption and effective use of BI tools across the organization.
- Mentor junior analytics engineers, fostering knowledge-sharing and professional growth.
