Requirements
- 15 to 20 plus years of professional experience with an environmental/engineering consulting firm.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or environmental engineering.
- Proven experience working with railroad clients.
- Demonstrated experience with scoping, budgeting, and implementation of complex permitting and compliance programs.
- Familiarity with railroad regulatory programs across northeastern and midwestern states.
- Strong commitment to safe work practices.
- Ability to work independently and lead large multi-disciplinary teams.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to mentor and develop a project team.
- OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour certification (plus).
- Railway Worker safety training (plus).
Responsibilities
- Maintain and establish client relationships to procure and manage project scope, schedule, budget, and delivery.
- Lead the delivery of technical advice, planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services.
- Engage in business development activities including proposal preparation, project interviews, and marketing.
- Manage and supervise technical and administrative staff and project subcontractors.
- Lead technical tasks, conduct cost estimation, and manage emergency response opportunities.
- Develop site investigation plans and evaluate remediation alternatives in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Prepare project reports and interact with project staff, clients, and regulatory agencies.
