Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience owning and supporting mission-critical production platforms.
- Deep expertise in Kafka and streaming technologies.
- Proven experience with enterprise data technologies and platforms at large scale.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go.
- Experience with open-source RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Expertise in forecast- or workload-driven infrastructure scaling on shared platforms.
- Production experience with Gen AI, including RAG design, vector/graph stores, and LLM tool-use.
- Demonstrated history of 0-to-1 product delivery and cloud-native infrastructure modernization.
- Fluency in Claude Code for daily work and PR-level deliverables.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience.
Responsibilities
- Own and support a data warehousing platform serving ~250K queries/day over ~20PB.
- Manage an event ingestion pipeline processing 6–7 billion events/day.
- Maintain and evolve the Airflow orchestration platform.
- Build a cost-attribution pipeline to reconcile AWS cloud bills.
- Develop a forecast-driven autoscaling control loop for Trino and dbt worker pools.
- Engineer a production Gen AI system for natural-language-to-SQL and RAG with cost guardrails.
- Coordinate technical requirements with Finance, BizOps, and Analytics stakeholders.
