Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience in data science, machine learning, or applied AI.
- 4+ years of leadership experience (direct or indirect).
- Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field preferred; Bachelor's with significant experience considered.
- Proficiency in Python and ML/LLM tooling (e.g., LangChain, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience with prompt tuning and experimentation frameworks.
- Strong background in structured and unstructured data at scale, data pipelines, and feature engineering.
- Knowledge of vector databases, knowledge graphs, and hybrid retrieval architectures.
- Experience with containerization, CI/CD, and RESTful API design.
- Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS preferred, Azure or GCP).
- Familiarity with AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub CoPilot, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex).
Responsibilities
- Set the vision and strategic priorities for data science within the content ecosystem.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of data scientists and ML engineers.
- Drive applied research with a clear path to production while balancing latency, cost, and reliability.
- Build and scale evaluation science capabilities, including benchmarking pipelines and human-in-the-loop systems.
- Develop scalable, production-grade AI systems featuring LLM-powered document understanding, agentic workflows, and RAG pipelines.
- Partner with engineering and product leaders to integrate AI into large-scale distributed systems.
- Champion hands-on rapid prototyping and iterate on production models.
