Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrable technical ability.
- Comfortable writing code in at least one of Python, Go, JavaScript/Node.js or Java.
- Familiarity with Linux fundamentals and the command line.
- Some exposure to working with data such as SQL, NoSQL, CSVs or scripts.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to technical or non-technical audiences.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a bias for problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Develop deep, hands-on expertise in InfluxDB and the wider InfluxData platform.
- Partner with senior Sales Engineers on active opportunities, including building demos and proof-of-concept environments.
- Provide technical coverage across the sales team by answering product questions and running standard demos.
- Contribute to formal RFx responses and informal prospect Q&A/workshop sessions.
- Advocate for prospects and customers by relaying feedback to Engineering, Product and Support teams.
- Write content for blogs, community forums and sample-code repositories.
