Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building backend services in Python.
- 3+ years of experience leading backend initiatives and mentoring other engineers.
- Strong experience designing and operating distributed, event-driven systems (retries, idempotency, eventual consistency).
- Depth with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy, Alembic): schema design, migrations, and query performance.
- Experience designing and evolving APIs consumed by others (GraphQL).
- Hands-on experience with AWS and serverless building blocks (Lambda, EventBridge, SNS/SQS, DynamoDB, ECS).
- Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD (Terraform, Docker, GitHub Actions).
- Fluency with a modern test stack (pytest, moto).
- Ability to work seamlessly on a distributed team in an Agile/DevOps environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for architectural planning and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Build distributed, event-driven services that turn Cloud Custodian into a platform.
- Develop and maintain the GraphQL API used by internal consoles and customers.
- Design and manage pipelines that execute policies across thousands of cloud accounts.
- Maintain asset and cost data stores supporting governance workloads.
- Design systems that remain observable and correct while operating at scale across multiple clouds and regions.
