Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably within insurance or a related industry.
  • Active Resident Property & Casualty Insurance Producer license required.
  • Eligibility to obtain licensing in all applicable states.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and empathy skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Strong problem-solving, multitasking, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Solid computer and typing skills, including proficiency in a Windows-based environment.
  • Ability to work effectively from home with a dedicated, quiet workspace and reliable high-speed internet.
  • Bilingual Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver an excellent customer experience by building rapport, understanding customer needs, gathering information, and providing knowledgeable support.
  • Answer incoming customer calls and assist with servicing and maintaining existing insurance accounts.
  • Educate customers on insurance needs, explain coverage options, and provide estimates for expanded coverage.
  • Research, analyze, and resolve questions related to policies, coverage, billing, and account changes.
  • Quote additional insurance products, prepare and complete applications, and follow up for documentation.
  • Navigate multiple systems including quoting platforms and customer records while maintaining accurate data entry.
  • Meet individual performance objectives related to productivity, customer satisfaction, and service quality.
  • Maintain knowledge of insurance products, carrier requirements, and state-specific regulations.
  • Participate in pre-licensing training and obtain/maintain necessary Property & Casualty insurance licensing.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and remain available for overtime as business needs require.
