Job Details

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.
5–7+ years of hands-on integration engineering with ownership of EDI and API implementations in healthcare.
Deep expertise with EDI X12 standards, specifically 278R transactions and 275 attachments.
Advanced SQL proficiency including CTEs, window functions, and ETL data validation.
Hands-on experience with interface engines like Mirth Connect.
Expertise in REST API protocols including OAuth2, JSON/XML Schema validation, and error handling.
Strong familiarity with healthcare IT systems such as Epic, Cerner, and Athenahealth.
Proficiency in B2B VPNs, SSL certificates, and encryption protocols (AES-256, SHA-256).
Knowledge of HIPAA, HITRUST, and data security compliance frameworks.
Experience with API testing and monitoring tools like Postman, Newman, and Swagger.
Willingness to travel to customer sites as required (up to 25%).

Lead end-to-end design and deployment of 278R EDI transactions, 275 document workflows, RESTful APIs, and file-based SFTP integrations.
Design, build, and optimize data mapping schemas between customer systems and Humata platforms.
Manage B2B VPN tunnels, IP whitelisting, and security credential provisioning including SSL and TLS.
Perform payload-level debugging and root cause analysis using SQL, Wireshark, and packet tracing tools.
Monitor production data flows and develop automated test scripts for integration validation.
Serve as technical SME for EMR connectivity (Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth) and prior authorization workflows.
Create and maintain sequence diagrams, data flow diagrams, and comprehensive API schema documentation.
