Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent educational background.
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in television or film production, including exposure to insurance or risk management.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, interpret, evaluate, and present data effectively.
- Ability to research complex topics and translate findings into clear recommendations, reports, and actionable insights.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, requests, and stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups, including students, faculty, production teams, insurance professionals, and other partners.
- Sound judgment and attention to detail when reviewing insurance requests, assessing potential exposures, and supporting risk mitigation activities.
- Ability to work collaboratively while also taking ownership of assigned projects and responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide analytical, policy, systems, and fieldwork support for insurance and risk management activities associated with student television and film productions.
- Partner with insurance department managers and key stakeholders across different schools and production environments to identify and address potential risks.
- Develop, revise, and support the implementation of risk mitigation, safety, and compliance policies, programs, and procedures.
- Conduct research and review insurance requests and submissions to assess potential exposures and determine appropriate risk management considerations.
- Analyze production-related information and insurance requirements to identify emerging risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Prepare analyses, reports, and documentation to monitor and track risk management events, safety matters, quality issues, and production-related communications.
- Support the organization in maintaining compliance with applicable internal policies, external requirements, and relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with students, faculty, insurers, and internal stakeholders to gather information, resolve issues, and facilitate effective risk management processes.
- Maintain accurate records and provide clear, timely information to stakeholders and insurance management teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in risk management and safety practices across production activities.
