Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 4-7 years of experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated engineering environments.
- Experience applying structural mechanics, dynamics, kinematics, and physics-based modeling techniques.
- Strong background in finite element analysis, structural simulation, and engineering verification methods.
- Required experience with SolidWorks.
- Experience with FEMAP, NASTRAN, LS-DYNA, Python, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience working in requirements-driven environments with compliance, regulatory, and verification responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and the theory behind analytical and computational methods.
Responsibilities
- Apply engineering mechanics and physics-based analysis methods to evaluate system performance and support design decisions.
- Perform structural assessments using classical hand calculations, finite element analysis, and simulation techniques.
- Analyze components and assemblies for strength, stiffness, fatigue life, fracture resistance, and overall structural integrity.
- Support requirements development and ensure designs align with customer, program, and regulatory expectations.
- Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and improve product performance.
- Review designs, analyses, and verification activities to provide independent technical evaluation and recommendations.
- Generate technical reports, compliance documentation, and presentations that clearly communicate analysis results and engineering rationale.
- Support qualification, verification, and validation efforts throughout the product development lifecycle.
