Requirements
- 12+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Direct in-house public company reporting and technical accounting experience.
- CPA or Chartered Accountant designation.
- Hands-on ownership of SEC filings (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and SEC compliance.
- Deep technical mastery of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and XBRL.
- Expertise in ASC 606 (revenue recognition), ASC 842 (leases), and ASC 718 (stock-based compensation).
- Proven track record of managing external specialists, auditors, and consultants.
- Experience recruiting, hiring, and scaling high-performing accounting teams.
- Familiarity with modern financial ecosystems and reporting technologies.
- Strong executive presence and ability to explain complex accounting topics to leadership.
Responsibilities
- Build and scale the Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting branch from the ground up.
- Establish and maintain scalable SEC reporting processes and prepare periodic filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K).
- Serve as subject matter expert for complex accounting topics including ASC 606, ASC 842, and ASC 718.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance frameworks and internal controls.
- Collaborate with IR and FP&A teams on earnings releases, investor presentations, and non-GAAP reconciliations.
- Manage external advisory partners, auditors, and legal counsel.
- Partner with finance and IT on NetSuite ERP implementation and technical reporting infrastructure.
