Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential.
- Public accounting experience.
- 10-12+ years of relevant accounting and reporting experience.
- Extensive general ledger and month-end close ownership experience.
- Thorough understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting standards.
- Demonstrated experience automating or accelerating close processes using ERP or reconciliation tools.
- Strong technical accounting research and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in internal-use software capitalization (ASC 350-40).
- Experience with SOX control environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the financial reporting process, including preparation of US GAAP financial statements and disclosures.
- Drive technical accounting research, analysis, and documentation for complex matters like revenue recognition and share-based compensation.
- Oversee month-end close activities, including accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and internal-use software capitalization.
- Coordinate quarterly reviews and annual audits with external auditors.
- Ensure effective SOX controls around reporting and technical accounting processes.
- Prepare lender-related communication packages and covenant-compliance reporting.
- Identify and implement process and system improvements to automate and accelerate the financial statement close.
